Dr. Hutchison is married to Marti Hutchison. They have three children: a daughter aged seven, a son aged four, and
an infant son.
He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina Magna Cum Laude. Tim also graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to get his medical education at East Carolina University School of Medicine, from which he graduated in May of 1995. Dr. Hutchison was on the Deans List every semester of school.
He went through residency at Greenwood Family Practice of Greenwood, SC from June 1995 to June 1998, where he received the Resident Teacher’s Award from the Society of Teachers for Family Medicine. He has also been on two mission trips, to the Tenwek Hospital in Kenya during the summer of 1992, and later during the winter of 1994.
Dr. Hutchison is licensed in South Carolina. He belongs to the American Academy of Family Physicians, the South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, and the Christian Medical & Dental Society.
Dr. Hutchison has recently announced that he and his family will be traveling to Kenya, Africa to be missionaries. Dr. Tim will be in Kenya as a Missionary Doctor, thus working with and training medical students, as he has done for a while here at Newberry Family Health Center. Click here for more information.
